The Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program
Applications are currently available for the 2012 cycle of the Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program. Paper applications, including all supporting documents, are due to the IREX office in your country of citizenship by 5 PM Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Online applications may be submitted until 11:59 AM EST Wednesday, November 2, 2011.

Applicants are encouraged to complete the application online. Please read the instructions and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) carefully prior to beginning the application.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
IREX strongly recommends that you submit your online application prior to November 2, 2011. The high volume of application submissions on November 2 may slow the online system. This can create challenges for applicants submitting applications in areas with low bandwidth.
Paper Application:
Applicants who cannot complete the application online may download and complete a paper application (two parts). Three (3) complete copies of all application materials must be received by the IREX office in your country of citizenship in one package by 5 PM local time on Wednesday, November 2, 2011.

Eligibility
The Muskie Program is open to graduate students and professionals from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan for one-year non-degree, one-year degree, or two-year degree study in the United States. In order to be eligible for the 2012 Muskie Program, applicants must currently reside in their country of citizenship.
Eligible fields of study for the Muskie Program are: business administration, economics, education, environmental management, international affairs, journalism and mass communication, law, library and information science, public administration, public health, and public policy.
