Nazarbayev Fellowship at Churchill College, Cambridge University, UK

A 6 month post-doctoral Nazarbayev Fellowship in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan is offered at Churchill College, Cambridge University by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the College. The Fellowship offers the opportunity to live and work in Cambridge as a Fellow of this prestigious College, famous particularly for its science. A 'Western' or equivalent PhD is preferred, from a recognized university, but those with Candidat and Doctor Nauk will be considered.

Criteria for selection include:

• academic excellence; 
• experience of work as an independent researcher;
• good communication skills in English;
• a project or research interest which can be pursued in Cambridge.

Candidates must be citizens of Kazakhstan with at least one year of post-doctoral/research experience in Kazakhstan and must have IELTS ideally with 7.5 overall but not less than 7.0 in reading and speaking. The fields of study should follow the national priorities of Kazakhstan and the areas of research represented in Cambridge:

• Agricultural areas including Food Security, Plant Sciences,
• Veterinary Medicine, etc.
• Oil and Gas
• Renewable Energy
• Rare Earths and materials
• Nuclear Energy

A report will be required for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Nazarbayev University and the relevant Ministries of Kazakhstan on return.
